  1. Do you visit the salon for maintenance and touch-ups at least every other month?
    Maintenance is a vital part of hair extensions. If you are someone who is routinely in the salon for maintenance and touch-ups you are a candidate.


  2. Are you 18 years or older?
    If you are younger than 18 years old, you must have your parent/guardian's consent to receive hair extensions.


  3. Do you have any allergies to any chemicals, medications, substances, materials, or any others?
    Certain medications react to the bond, which is made of human protein keratin.


  4. Are you presently experiencing an unusual amount of hair loss?
    A person experiencing unusual amount of hair loss would not make a good candidate for hair extensions. Extensions are not the solution for severely thinning hair due to the unique way the bond is attached to the hair.     Extensions require a lot of brushing and care. If your hair tends to tangle easily, it can lead to dread-lock like extensions. In the long run, it makes it very difficult to take the extensions out and can be very time consuming.


  7. Do you use professional hair care products at home?
    Because of the structure of the extensions bond, salon quality products are vital to the health of the extension. Over the counter shampoos and conditioners can break the bond down and not have the extensions last as long. Any product containing sulfur will break the bond down and weaken them.
